On the 17th of July 2012, the Chief Justice – Hon. Benjamin Odoki launched the Democracy Torch at Sheraton Hotel Kampala as part of a campaign to increase awareness on democratic principles among the Ugandan people, and to remind political leaders of their commitment to democratic values.

This campaign is part of the project “Action for Strengthening Democratic Governance and Accountability” which ACFODE is implementing in partnership with KAS and with generous support from the EU.
